Attended the 2011 Liferay East Coast Symposium. It was great meeting all of the Liferay folks and lots of other Liferay developers.

Tripped up by a nasty issue today...
Created a Vaadin portlet using the 6.1.0 SDK, and started creating a service.xml for Service Builder.
Then I tried to build the service and whammy,
Progress is being made!
The theme is done showing how to embed the login portlet in the theme in the header. And now the hook project is done to override the login.jsp page to make it render
